Owen Davis Finishes His Local Season at Vail Lake in 4th
[Temecula, CA] Eminent Factory rider, Owen Davis returned back to California's Vail Lake for the second leg of their series to race in the final local compeition of his season on Sunday, February 5th.
Similar to the first leg, Owen faced three stages, however this enduro presented two new trails, while only using one from the former competition. It was that very familiar track from Leg 1 that Owen met for his first stage. Feeling super confident with his line choices on his Eminent Haste MT, Owen ripped stage one by a second faster than his time in the previious leg. With much stronger competition this round, Owen finished 4th overall for Stage 1.
Stage Two featured a new track for the season called "Ladders". While new for the local Vail season, Owen was very familiar with it from previous years and several practice sessions. A very straight-forward track with limited line choice, Owen tore down with a consistent stage result of P4 once again.
Stage Three offered a brand new trail... a fast, flowy jumpline featuring an array of challenging turns and directional changes. Owen kept great speed, especially timing the corners and jumps well, until he encountered a rock stall toward the end of the stage. It only costed him a few seconds, but they proved to be key. Owen finished Stage Three in P6.
A great day none the less for Owen Davis as he finished the race in 4th Place overall! Next, Owen heads to Windrock, Tennesse for his EWS Qualifier.
